If you wish to volunteer in any capacity at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, you must first have clearances from the State of Pennsylvania. You must have a Criminal Background check, a Child Abuse record check and attend a Protecting God's Children session. The forms you need to fill out can be obtained by calling or e-mailing Margie Anderson at the rectory.

A Pennsylvania State Criminial Background Check must be filled out and returned to the Parish office. When that is completed, a Pennslvania child Abuse Clearance Check will be done.

Twice a year, Our Lady of Mount Carmel will offer a Protecting God's Children training class. The dates and times will be published in the church bulletin. If you need to take a class to complete your clearances, please visit www.virtusonline.org. This is the archdiocesan web site that lists ALL Protecting God's Children classes in the entire archdiocese. You register for the class on line. When you complete the class, you must return the white archdiocesan form to the parish office.

You will NOT be permitted to volunteer until you have all the necessary paperwork completed.
